League isn't good. He has a good fastball, but he is very wild. I would leave BJ Ryan in as their closer since no one else is any better for that role. I don't think Downs could handle it either.
I'm trying to think of 5 good set up guys off the top of my head. There are a lot of good set up guys. The reason why I don't like that question is because I don't consider the set up role as important as the closer's role. Thus, you can have set up men with really good ERAs. The toughest 3 outs in a game are in the 9th inning.
i cant htink of 5 better than league
that dude is a ****ing stud
i have seen 50 times shields comes in and gets three tough outs then krod gets 3 easy ones the next inning
seen it a lot
Downs is the set up man, and has been as reliable as they come for the 8th inning. League is a closer in the making, but will probably ply his trade with another team. Toronto doesnt know how to develop closers, only buy them, the lone exception being Ward.
Ryan, do you think CJ Wilson will ever be good? When I have watched him pitch in games, I see that he has great stuff, but obviously control is his issue.
