Well its that time of year again and I will be doing my 2nd baseball thread. Last year I was about 20 games under .500 and up a little over +50 units. For people who are new to SBR or to betting baseball I bet mostly underdogs and rarely lay over -150. In fact last year I bet about 500 games and only layed more than -150 about 2-3 times. I was probably # 1 or 2 in the whole forum with the most winners of + 200 or more. I have been betting baseball for many years and consider my self an "above average" baseball handicapper. Does that mean I will win $ this year.? Absolutely not.!! But I will give you an honest and accurate record with a YTD total updated daily.If I have one down fall its that I am a little too conservative at times. For example over the course of the season last last year I only had 3 top plays(2-1) and not a single 3 team reverse. I do bet many reverses IMO its the best way to gorge your bankroll. Reverses are not for everyone so make sure you understand them before you do them. I hope to have a good flow of information and ideas in the thread I even look forward to constructive criticism but please no jr.high school bickering bullshit.!! My plays will be between 1-8 units. Baseball is a game of form and streaks so for me I find the 1st few weeks for the season the hardest to cap. I do bet totals probably a little more unders than overs. FYI for the newer cappers to baseball on totals just because the wind is blowing out @ Wrigley at 22mph its no lay up to go over, do yourself a favor and look at the GA/AO ratio of the pitchers if its a high ratio for both pitchers there may be a lot of value to go under.!! Over the years I realized a few tidbits to share. When the W.SOX are home and its hot and humid the ball has a tendency to fly out. In a rare day game for the Dodgers for some reason the ball seems to jump out and many HRs are hit. When the Angels are at home in a late day game they have by far the worst shadows in the majors, meaning that the batter is in the shade looking at the bright sunshine and the pitcher and its very hard to pick up the ball.!! Maybe play the under FF.?? Well I hope some of this helps. When I have time I will do write ups on some of the games. I know I am forgetting a few things but for now best of luck to all.!!
Also I forgot to say that I do not believe in "get well" or bail out games and there is no such thing as a lock.!! The season will provide us many opportunities to make money so there is no rush or need to bet a lot of games. If I go "cold" I will take a day or two off.
With the start of the reg. season 10 days away I will be capping the rest of spring training. Bets will be between .25 - 1 unit with a stop loss limit of 4 units. Records and YTD totals will count toward the regular season. GL.!!

Yes I bet it just before my post around 10:55 @ that time many books had FLD +110 AND 1 had them @ +115. I have no opinion on stl or phi at this time ......GL
