--Most sports books are listing Cincinnati (0-1, -100) as a minus 110 favorite with a total of 10 1/2 'over' (minus 115). The Red are plus 170 on the run line (minus 1 1/2 runs).

--Chicago (1-0, +100) won the opener of this series Monday by thumping the Reds, 16-7. Juan Pierre set the table with three hits and three runs scored, while Matt Murton and Todd Walker knocked in three RBIs apiece.

--Bronson Arroyo will get his first National League Start after coming over to the Reds in a trade with Boston. Arroyo is 0-3 with a 6.50 ERA in three career starts against Cincinnati.

--Glendon Rusch will toe the rubber for the Cubs. The veteran lefty is 1-3 with a 5.03 ERA in eight career starts against Cincy.

--Although Rusch owns an abysmal 57-86 record and 4.88 lifetime ERA, he has been solid for Chicago over the last two seasons, posting a 15-10 record with an ERA nearly a run lower than his career mark.

--Cincy slugger Adam Dunn is 7-for-21 (.333) against Rusch with four homers and one double.

**Braves at Dodgers**

--This series is even after Los Angeles (1-1, +10) won last night's 5-4 decision as a plus-110 underdog. The Braves won the season opener for both teams Monday, 11-10.

--Atlanta (1-1, -25) will send Horacio Ramirez to the mound in this spot. The southpaw has made just one career start against the Dodgers, giving up two runs in seven innings of work while taking a no-decision.

--Odalis Perez has a 1-3 record and 3.94 lifetime ERA against the Braves.

--Atlanta slugger Andruw Jones is 3-for-8 (.375 average) against Perez with two homers. On the other hand, Marcus Giles is 1-for-11 (.091) against the southpaw who started his career with the Braves.

--Atlanta's Jeff Francoeur has faced Perez three times, belting a triple and one homer.

--The 'over' has taken the money in each of the first two games of this series.
