Is Andruw Jones defense really worth this....BA.162, 2HR, 13RBI, with 72 strikeouts in 197AB. I would make the argument that he cost his team a lot more runs at the plate then he saves them in the field. I guess $14,726,910 also guarantees you'll never get sent down for assignment. If I was ownership I would pair Manny up w/ Andruw in all the hitting drills all day every day. They have to do something because in the NL with the pitcher being considered an automatic it makes it very difficult to score when you have 2 automatic outs. Sometimes you just have to eat it like the Seattle Mariners did with Richie Sexson, you can't tell me they don't have a center fielder capable of hitting over .162 and plays solid defense somewhere in their farm system.
You can't even call this a slump, I really don't know what you would call this?

Maybe he should take note from Rick Ankiel and try pitching.
