How are the Angels even favored in this game? Because of the home/away records? ATL has a much better offense, the better starting pitcher and bullpen, and a better defense.

That's the way I see it too BadBeatBodog. This looks like a coin flip to me, even given that it's in Anaheim. The Angels are the most overrated team right now in my opinion, they have been winning a lot of games lately but are outperforming their pythag by 7 games... they are a .500 team going forward. Man that division stinks.

And yeah, I think the Braves' road record is at least partially capitalized. Which is pretty funny IMO. What, the braves have a team full of players that hate hotels?

i'm taking the braves for the sweep...they had no problem winning the 1st two...they have a very good pitcher going...so does the angels but he has a high ERA over the last 3 games...little over 7.0...the braves can put runs on the board...the angels rarely score a lot of runs

Nail on head with Angels being the most overrated team. Their record in close games is 29-12 so there should definitely be regression.

Shields is one player, albeit a very good one. Those are big differences in the numbers. Even if them being better over the last two weeks is true that doesn't make them the better bullpen, or more likely to be better tonight. I didn't realize the Braves had three guys missing, which makes their bully a big ? but the Braves still have an advantage everywhere else.
