    With a pitcher that was just called up throwing for the Braves, I wouldn't do it. Angels could very well put a few on the board against him in the first.

    some pitchers may not get off to good starts in the 1st inn .. have no rhythm established early on , is always iffy .

    looking at what each starter has done in the 1st inn thus far in 08 as well as looking at the year before as a possible saving grace ..
    looking at who bats 1 - 5 for each team . (teams not scoring many runs lately is a plus)
    where the game is played , weather (shadows) , all that ...

    some teams are a great bet to score first when on the road , but you wont ever get good odds ... always something to keep something from being too easy .

    their was a bunch of us doing this for about 2 weeks

    might want to try and get a hold of stingyrivers he devolped his own system on this theory and did the most work by far
