I went 1-1 yesterday, damn Contreras. At least now I will know to stay away from any Contreras-Detroit matchup.

For today:
Angels -112
Pros:
On paper this matchup may seem very close. But the reality is that there will be one clear-cut victor in the Angels. Lackey (2-1, 1.70 ERA) is 8-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 10 career starts against Tampa Bay, including 6-0 with a 1.38 ERA in seven home starts with six straight victories. Also, the Rays are not a very good road team. One statistic that many do not account for in this matchup is the lefty/righty split. The Angels hit .280 as a team versus lefties. Lackey is 0-0 with a 1.20 ERA at home. Kazmir is much more dominant at home than he is on the road. his road ERA is a 2.81. Over the past three years, Kazmir has a 5.23 ERA in June. He has never played in Angels stadium.

Cons:
The Rays have improved a lot this year. Kazmir has also been very good this year.

Giants -108
Pros: Lincecum has been dominant this year, with a 2.15 ERA. San Francisco (29-36) had its seven-game road winning streak snapped in a 10-5 loss to Colorado on Tuesday, dropping the Giants to 4-1 on their seven-game trip. The Giants have won 10 of their last 13 away from home after starting 6-14 on the road. The Colorado bullpen has been horrendous this year, blowing 11 saves. Jimenez has a 5.43 ERA and a whip of 1.68.

Cons: Jimenez has a 3.77 ERA at home. Lincecum has a 4.15 ERA this season versus the Rockies.
