    Then play Texas for sure:

    Play On
    Road teams (TEXAS)
average offensive team (4.7 to 5.2 runs/game) against a good starter (ERA<=4.20) (AL), with a hot starting pitcher- ERA less than 2.50 over his last 3 starts

44-24 over the last 5 seasons.
    64.7% (25.3 units)

i'm still confused about yesterdays game, the box score for Blackburn had him as 1 earned run, he fell apart in the 6th, Tex scored 7 runs, Young and Kinsler both homered that inning, actually all 3 pitchers for the Twins only were charged with 4 ER for the whole game, and there was only 1 error.

and yes i had the Twins yesterday

    maybe this will help:

Rangers 6thNick Blackburn pitching:Michael Young:Ball, Ball, Strike looking, Young homered to left.Josh Hamilton:Strike swinging, Ball, Strike swinging, Foul, Foul, Hamilton singled to right.Marlon Byrd:Strike looking, Byrd reached on fielder's choice to shortstop, Hamilton to second on shortstop Casilla's fielding error.David Murphy:Murphy reached on fielder's choice to first, Hamilton to third, Byrd out at second.Gerald Laird:Pickoff attempt, Strike looking, Strike looking, Ball, Laird singled to center, Hamilton scored, Murphy to second.Brandon Boggs:Boggs reached on fielder's choice to third, Murphy out at third, Laird to second.Chris Shelton:Shelton singled to shallow center, Laird to third, Boggs to second.Ramon Vazquez:Vazquez singled to left center, Laird and Boggs scored, Shelton to second.Ian Kinsler:Kinsler homered to left, Shelton and Vazquez scored.Michael Young:Foul, Strike swinging, Young struck out looking.End of Inning (7 Runs, 6 Hits, 1 Error)

even though there was only one out when Laird singled to center, Hamilton scored, Murphy to second. Hamilton shouldn't have been in scoring position when this occurred so by rule its an unearned run. Does that help at all?

Blackburn gave up 10 H 7 R, how that equates to 1 earned run for the game i don't know, plus giving up 2 home-runs.

all the runs came after an error by the ss
shoulda been an out, or dp
    woulda made the game 0-0

Ok I will break it down for you then. This will be long but hopefully will explain it.

    Rangers 6th
    Nick Blackburn pitching:
Michael Young:Ball, Ball, Strike looking, Young homered to left.
    --1 ER

Josh Hamilton:Strike swinging, Ball, Strike swinging, Foul, Foul, Hamilton singled to right.

Marlon Byrd:Strike looking, Byrd reached on fielder's choice to shortstop, Hamilton to second on shortstop Casilla's fielding error.
--Because of the error, there should be one out and a man on first.

David Murphy:Murphy reached on fielder's choice to first, Hamilton to third, Byrd out at second.
-- Ok now there should be two outs with still ONLY a runner on first. But because of the error it is first and third.

Gerald Laird:Pickoff attempt, Strike looking, Strike looking, Ball, Laird singled to center, Hamilton scored, Murphy to second.
-- This run is unearned because Hamilton should have never been on third. It should only be runners on first and second.

Brandon Boggs:Boggs reached on fielder's choice to third, Murphy out at third, Laird to second.
-- This would have been the third out and the INN should have ended here.

*** ALL RUNS SCORED FROM HERE DOWN ARE UNEARNED****

Chris Shelton:Shelton singled to shallow center, Laird to third, Boggs to second.

Ramon Vazquez:Vazquez singled to left center, Laird and Boggs scored, Shelton to second.

Ian Kinsler:Kinsler homered to left, Shelton and Vazquez scored.

Michael Young:Foul, Strike swinging, Young struck out looking.End of Inning (7 Runs, 6 Hits, 1 Error)

"all the runs came after an error by the ss

almost correct... DP's arent assumed when figuring out earned runs

i know they dont assume a dp, but i was watching, and it was a fairly easy one

game really shoulda been 1-0 after that inning
