yankees money earner or money burner this year ?

We all know how big a money burner the yankees were last year. now i see "the boss" gaurnteed a world series victory, and A-Rod quickly jumped on the bandwagon. I personaly think they will flop once again this year, and be another fine fade just like they were last season.

I think your wrong. Yankees are packed! Still have Mariano Rivera,
added Damon watch out. 100+games they will win. Will be seeing -250
and above regularly at some point in the season.

I think they actually made money after the all star break, though not as much as they lost before it

best team to fade..like the start of last year. Bullpen is suspect and starting pithching is aging and injury prone.

I'll probably be the lone person betting on the D-Rays to beat the Yankees in Tampa. : )

I need to look at their team more. I have no idea if their best pitcher Jake Peavy has recovered his arm.....whether or not they'll be getting David Wells soon...and etc.

I really liked them getting Mike Cameron the centerfielder to cover all that ground in San Diego though. ..and the 1b Gonzalez

How about Piazza. They are letting him be a full time catcher. He is
going to get 30 and 100 that will help.

bad thing about Piazza is that he's such a liability behind the plate now though...

I do think he'll have a good year but 30 homeruns even for a guy like Piazza(a monster) is hard to fanthom in the park the Padres play in. ..especially in night games.

I guess the real question should be, how many people here have made money (excluding playoffs) betting the Yankees?

i only really started last year and made money off of them. although I made a few bets the year prior when the Red Sox were spanking them before the break.

Yankees are freakin loaded ,but there loaded every year. Out of the past 7 years they only showed a profit twice against the moneyline. Both those times were minimal. Play some steam on them!

The Yaankees will win a ton of games this year on offense alone, but their pitching is old and not very deep!!
If you think Wong and Small will be half as good as they were in 05 your dreaming.
Yankees win the division, but not the series!!

I like the "Over" a lot this year on the Yankees as I think they're pitching staff is aged, broken down, and flat out overated.

You can't argue against their bats right now, but I must say, i like the "Over".
