    Carlos Lee
    Hanley Ramirez
    Magglio Ordonez
    Albert Pujols

    All offense, all the time...

Only gripe I'd have about that team is you don't have a proven big-league starter. Kershaw and Joba obviously have unlimited potential and project as front-of-the-rotation guys, but they haven't accomplished anything at this level. Tough to argue with a young lefty with Kershaw's stuff and it's hard to see Joba having anything but success with his arm, though. Also, I think Cabrera's value is diminished as a 1B.

I can get Cabs fat butt into shape and play him at 3rd. this is my team and hes still young. I dont know how upton is left off, i love kemp (wanted him badly in a bedard deal) but upton is a baby and raking. my team isn't built to win this year, but if i could keep these guys around for the length of their careers my team should be legit.

i love to see your thoughts on most anything so i wanted to challenge your squad.

more importantly, how could you possibly include tim hudson.

as for chipper, you're starting a team, chipper has how many years left?

Such a homer pick. He's 36 and his range at 3B is an embarrassment. Taking him over David Wright is absurd. You're banned.

I think both our teams are loaded. I didn't really put much thought into my team, but Upton over Kemp is a worthy debate. Both future All-Stars for the next decade.

Are you kidding me? Chipper Jones average holds at .410.. David Wright is hitting what? And Chipper Jones is a solid third baseman last time i checked.. Tim Hudson is the man... enough said..

Surprised you didn't take Yunel Escobar over Hanley.

Escobar is solid.. But he isnt Hanley... I think its important to have veterans on every team... Im a huge braves fan and will admit, without Chipper Jones presence in the lineup, they would suck.. He brings too much to the team

David Wright's probably the best clubhouse guy in baseball, not to mention being 10+ years younger and an infinitely better play than Chipper. Yeah, tough call.

Chipper is not going to hit 400. Age difference is too big to even consider Chipper over Wright. Tim Husdon is very good, but he is just not as good as other younger starters in the league for the long haul or this year.

chipper is awesome. love him. hudson is not bad at all.
i think these guys are assuming you are building teams for the long haul. if you are, you cannot consider old dudes like chipper and lee and hudson

but then, nor can you take someone like kershaw who has proven nothing. take lincecum or hammels or king felix.

Define, 'proven nothing'? The guy hasnt had a chance in the league, but he's proven to have dominant stuff. Hes proven to be a lefty. I dont think either of those things are likely to change.

No Kaz, nomo or Park? Some fine asian ball players right there. How about Godzilla? He should be on the team over Johjima.

Godzilla will not be good for the clubhouse. He's like Michael Barrett, cant get along with anybody. He'll scare off all the fans which means no ticket sales.

I wouldn't take Kershaw over any of those guys. But Kershaw has an amazing upside. It is not out of the question that he will be better than all of them. Give me someone who has been in the league for a while.

If money were no object, I'd go with...

    Hanley Ramirez
    David Wright
    Brandon Webb
    Jake Peavy
    Carl Crawford
    Yu Darvish

Once this thread dies, someone start one with something like a $10 million salary cap for the six and it will be very interesting to see the difference in the names.
