LAA's never seen Danks whose stellar over last five starts. Weaver is one for whom things could be going better. LAA favoured because of last night's bust out? but it was one of those matchups where everything just fell in, don't expect that to happen as fortuitiously this evening . . .
I believe my record should be 3-4, not 2-5. Units are correct, however, which is all that really matters. Thanks for putting in the time to do this every day.
I hate going against my home team here, (but) my Giants are only 10-10 @ ATT Park this year.
Where on the other hand, the Astros are 11-11 on the road, so far this year.
With Berkman's bat red hot, the Astros are 9-1 in their last 10 games.
Winning their last four in a row.
In this battle of righties, (they last pitched against each other 25 months ago, with Backe winning), it's dejavu all over again!
Volquez has been sensational for the most part, with the one caveat being that he's walked 24 in 42.1 IP, including 6 BB's in his last start. -160 status is just too much for a poor Cincy team and a young starter, despite how impressive Volquez has been.
A toss-up tonite for me between WASH or FLA. So, I'll go with the team with the best W/L % in the majors...........and take the + 150. Cinn no great shakes vs. LHP, either.
Houston's been on fire as of late, and I look for their winning streak to continue going into San Fran. Backe owns a 2.03 ERA against St. Louis, and his TRGS is 2-1. Cain on the other hand got hit for 3 runs in his only start against Houston. The Astros all hold a good record against RHP this year, and I look for Cain to have a another letdown game.
979 Chicago White Sox +116 Danks has been solid over his last 5 and allowed 6 ER in 29.5 innings of work while Weaver has allowed 21 in his last 5 games. CWS bullpen is 11th with an ERA of 3.52 while the Angels are next to last with an ERA of 4.98
Just don't like the look of the Mariners right now, and Texas is hitting the ball. Gabbard is a solid propect and what a deal to get him in a trade. Last week he got beat down by Richie after a high pitch. I like Texas.
I think Backe and M Cain are even in this match up however I will give the edge to Houston with the bats. Both pitchers are struggling with high era's but Houston seem to have the better line up.
