I'm not a believer in the Mets unless Santana is on the hill, MAYBE Maine @ home. This team has gotten beat by WAS and PIT this week, and ARI is still the best team in the bigs.

because people look for dbacks to fall off some , along with owings , a preseason projected 4 or 5 starter . realistically mets could wake up in ariz .
play on team to wake up / turn the corner occurs when we dont really expect it alot . if we expected and knew when teams would hit a win streak or start losing streak we would be past genius .
will mets go into ariz and look like the best team in the nl for one game tonight ? why not , is a perfect oppurtunity for them to get a win and kind of fits in the turn the corner category using gut/hunch for me . like the over 9 too .

i think az is better than the mets, better pitchin, better pen. they dont have wright or reyes but they do have young, upton, and a very solid lineup

My lean was with Arizona. However, I didn't play it since I feel Arizona and Owings in particular are overperforming. Owings has also gotten a lot of hype in the mainstream press (ESPN in particular) which can certainly mess with a player's head. I want to see how his play responds to it first...

Owings not that good?! People who say this haven't seen him pitch. This guy is the real deal, plus he gives you an extra slugger in the lineup. D'backs have great pitching, with the weakest spot being Randy Johnson.

I see a lot of D-backs games. Commentators are great, because they analyze every pitch, and discuss them in relation to the others for each out. Very instructive. They also have the inside scoop on the team. This team is like brothers. A very close bunch. All on the same page. That's why they're performing so well. Not at all your typical baseball team. These guys are willing to fight tooth and nail over every single game!

D-backs are 11-3 at home, and 11-4 at night. They could certainly lose, but the Mets are the wrong bet.

Owings is a good number 4 starter in the league. He doesn't have great stuff...

We'll see at the end of the season. So far he's a 4-0 winner. And make sure to factor in the runs batted in when you consider his ERA.

Big market teams always get pounded in baseball, regardless of whether they're in a good matchup for them or not. That's why, if you notice a game, where the team, or the pitcher doesn't matchup well, you can get extremely good value if you hammer the dog line.

I didn't cap the game, but just looking quickly at sp matchups, lhp/rhp team matchups, bp numbers, and line movement, the game is very deceiving to me. I liked Arizona until I looked at the line movement. It actually looks like the smart money is coming in on the Mets.

something regarding people looking at webb as bulletproof ? webb did not get his first win at home until may 26th last year , he has done great so far this year and is the teams ace , but ... something to think about maybe . def not bulletproof .
