I hear you Mo, don't want to be out, trust me. That means I'm losing. Sucks. That said if things don't improve I am done posting plays here, maybe this place is a jinx? I'll try any excuse rather than blame myself, LOL. Even if I stop of course I will continue to hang out and throw opinions around, good base of guys here IMO and growing. Speaking of losing, after Thursday night my record is:

    YTD 32-41, -18.54 units

Stupid to carry on when you're doing this badly, especially when you're a poor loser in the first place. Going to give today and the weekend a chance though, maybe the tide will turn. Let's see if the Cubs can hang on, that will at least be a winner right out of the box.....

uh oh, how much are you putting up? you're arms are too long for the bench, anyone at that size who benches a lot is a freak of nature.

You're right, my bench has always sucked even when I was a workout freak. I did 2 a days for about 2 years when younger, I lived in the gym. That said even now (in my 40's) with long arms I can do a couple reps with 3 plates. Not world record stuff but pretty good for an old man with shoulder problems.

    315 X 4?

shit man, you're stronger than i am now. i can bench 385 without a ton of difficulty, but im half your size.

im just waiting for my shoulder injury, i dont suspect that i'll deal with it well.

You're way stronger than I am Mo even at "half my size" as you call it, LOL. I can't even get 385 on the bench once these days, I'm sure of it. I don't max out often but I can tell the way 3 plates feel I can't go 385. Yeah I did 315 today but only twice, not 4 times, nobody touched the bar though. I went ahead with help and did two more, plus did inclines and the rest of it. In my defense though I don't work out as regular as I should and as you say tall guys usually don't do great on the bench. I know I never did. Anyway what do you max out at?

385 right now is about my max, ive done it without a spot, but i couldnt do much more.

long arms are awful for lifting, but id trade the height for the bench any day of the week.

on the bench i go in and do 135 about 18 times, 245 12 times, 315 7 times, 365 once, 385 once and then i'll go back down. i dont usually use a spot because i just dont feel like paying attention to other people. i have my music on and i walk around in my own world, do my thing, and i leave.

    incline i'll do 300 a couple times.

That's impressive, for a guy that's 180 or so? Well done Mo, what I wouldn't trade to be young again.

My bad, thought you had told me you were 180 or so. Either way that's a solid progression/regression with no spot. Down the road I might hit you up for some more updated advice if I get more serious. Right now hitting it only a few times a week or so, push one day, pull the other. Occassionally I'll do legs. Just doing enough to keep from being a punk with no heart but need to be doing more. Anyway talk to you later, going out for a bite.
