Not sure what you mean by top 5 really . A guy can average getting 7 runs a game when he starts , bullpen above average and the closer getting the job done . Cueto could pitch great all year and be one of the memorable rookies . Why would you doubt this rookie ? If he played for the RSox or Yankees he would be looked at differently ?
He may not get as many wins because of the Reds bullpen and lack of run production . This reflects on his numbers . Instead of being up 5 -0 with no pressure he may be in alot of pressure situations in tighter games or playing from behind . Who knows , there are more factors than just the #s come seasons end .

The guy has electric stuff , why not root for him , he could be the rookie of the year in the NL . My brother drafted him in fantasy , so I root for him .

Whoever thinks he's the 5th best pitcher in the Major Leagues is a moron. Top 50 MAYBE. Kid should turn out to be an excellent pitcher, especially considering how young he is, but he's played 2 games.

OP's point is a good one. People are unbelievably premature. Best example is in the NFL where a rookie is a bust after seven or eight games of not lighting the world on fire.
