Baseball is and will always be a square sport

its as easy as bet the good teams every night and bet against the bad teams every night? As you could see with this chart its as simple as that. Obviously oddsmakers are arrogant and well behind on the odds when a bad team wins there should be a higher payout for the win and when a good team loses there should be higher chalk. Im going square!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well at the start of the season perceptions of a good team was different. Hindsight is 20/20, which is why many of the first place teams seem to be + money overall. But at the start of the season it is mostly consensual that Yankees/Sox (minus money), Minnesota (plus money) and Detroit (minus money), LAA (minus money) or improved Seattle (minus money), Phillies (minus money), Cards (minus money), Colorado (minus money), LAD (minus money) are the favorites to win/challange their divisions. Surprise teams like Cincy, TB, Padres made hay early while being undervalued and lost value after their torrid start. If you jumped on them midseason because "they're good teams' maybe the ML ledger for you would not land in the positive (because they're already +1500 or so) right now.
