Hopefully Monday is nicer to me than the first 3 games of the season.
I usually never play all chalk like this but none of it is too bad besides maybe the Braves at -140. I thought they would be more around -165 or so.
1* - Rockies (-107) I am a fan of Jeff Francis and this Rockies team that went to the World Series last season. I think Stl will be relatively weak this season and im not just saying that because im a Cubs fan. I will take the superior team at this price any day of the weak. Hopefully Rockies bats come out firing away.
1* - Tampa (-124) The Rays actually might have a decent team this season compared to years past. They are in the tough AL East but I still like the direction they are headed, meanwhile Baltimore is the WORST team in all of MLB. I like Shields a lot and Guthrie has been struggling this spring.
2* - Cubs (-125) I know, I know I am a Cubs fan but... Think this is a more than fair line in this game. Cubs being at home and Zambrano really wanting to turn it around struggling on opening day multiple times in the past. I think the Cubs are the better team with the much better bullpen and the better starter on the mound. Sheets is good but who knows he might come out in the 3rd inning with elbow discomfort. Wrigley will be rocking and I think they take game 1 over the Brew Crew.
2* - Reds (-104) Absolutely love Harang. Think he is the most underrated pitcher in the game. Yes Brandon Webb is a stud himself and the Dbax had a great season last year however.... They will be lucky to make it as far as they did last season. They won with so many clutch hits and fluke things. I like the addition they made with Dan Haren but the Reds lineup is stacked and Harang is a stud. Also the Reds are at home. I think the Reds powerful lineup can get to Webb on day 1.
3* Braves (-140) The Braves already have a regular season game under their belts and lost a tough one to the Nats. I like their lineup a lot and Glavine is back in town so he should be fired up to bring the Braves their first win. Not a fan of the Pirates who will have another rough year.
