    yeah not sure how Beckett will do. He's been getting flat out titted his last few outings. I like STL and maybe Boston +2.5 for around a -110 parlay.

    Hamels and Beckett are not exactly the model of consistency this season. The can be hit hard any given night; even against those two light hitting clubs. The better pick is just to put small amount of money on both dogs.

    The Cards also have a tendency to go down in flame when you don't expect it. How many times have Carpenter bit the dust this year as a heavy favorite? Plus they have a losing record on the road and the Pirates are due for a home win.

    Everyone needs to stop trying to be a hero when making wagers, and just make smarts bets everyday.

    If you have intelligence, and can parlay that into smart bets then you will do fine.

    But betting Seattle tonight is just burning money.
