    I think he was argueing balls and strikes because he took 2 strikes looking

    Not sure why he was arguing, looking at the PitchFX map from Brooksbaseball all three pitches look like strikes, even the one called a ball.

    Maybe the home plate umpire had money on the Reds. Ejecting Votto (knowing that would make the Marlins play less hard and spark the Reds) was probably the plan.

    You obviously were not watching the game. Votto did not show up the umpire. He said something to him about the calls but didn't even look at the umpire. Rookie umpire with thin skin I suppose. Even Florida announcers were criticizing umpire for his actions.
