    Youkilis?

Anyone know if he is officially out tonight? Sounds like it by all reports. Him going out last night really hurt them as hit batting spot had some key failures last night. Without Youk, Boston's lineup is less than impressive in my opinion. Still think they win tonight but him being out makes me nervous.

I haven't seen anything official, but yeah he's not going to play tonight.

I am not sure if him playing would move an already large line, but I know I would feel better taking Boston at this price if he was playing. Their line up is not very impressive with him out and already depleted from earlier injuries. The pitching matchup though is pretty lopsided today though I think BoSoxs still win, but I don't see them putting the beat down on any team at this point offensively.

    Hes out.

Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis, who left Monday's game against the Indians after two innings due to a jammed right thumb, is out of the lineup on Tuesday. With Youkilis out, Victor Martinez will get the start at first base and Kevin Cash will catch for Josh Beckett.

J.D. Drew is also out of the Red Sox lineup against Cleveland left-hander David Huff. Bill Hall gets the start in left, Darnell McDonald will be in center and Ryan Kalish will make the start in right field.

    RED SOX

    Scutaro, 6
    McDonald, 8
    Martinez, 3
    Ortiz, DH
    Beltre, 5
    Lowrie, 4
    Hall, 7
    Kalish, 9
    Cash, 2

    SP -- Beckett

Good post. Again, a less than impressive line up for Boston. Is Josh Beckett worth the risk I guess is the question, because I can't see Boston putting up more than 4 or 5 runs with this lineup. Cleveland still has some guys that can swing the bat so if Beckett is not on top of his game, Boston could get beat again. Probably a no play at this point. Like the Yanks, Oakland, and Padres better.
