Do you like RL's or dogs?

I was thinking about this yesterday when the Yankees' RL was +120 or whatever. Is it better to consistently take RL's (I know you get burned sometimes, but the same goes for all types of betting) with high-powered offenses, or try to spot play small to medium-sized underdogs?

    Which do you prefer?

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but I always play the line with less juice taken.

    EG.

If the moneyline is -170, +150
    And the runline is -1.5 +120, +1.5 -110

I'll take the runline no matter which team I like, because there is less juice being taken in that game.

Both are usually solid plays. Can't go wrong with + value in baseball.

I have a place to play -5 RL's so I have been playing those teams at home with some great success. Basically I just check if the home team is favored (not by -1.5) but by -.5 and go with them. It's given me good success in the wallet and here so there you go. Reduces the juice since they play straight up. Cheers-that might sound really nerdy but what can you do.

I really have a strong preference to playing dogs. I play a lot of 1st 5 and game plays with the same team depending on the starting pitching/bullpens, nice to go 4-6 yet still make money.

I'm not a big fan of betting rl's... if your team wins by a run its a kick in the gut.
