    Thursday baseball leans

Wanted to post this to gain some talk and thoughts. any comments would be appreciated.

Giants at home against Mets: Not good value.. maybe just in a parlay. Thoughts?

Dickey is 0-2 in his last three starts, allowing 20 hits and eight earned runs in those 18 2/3 innings. The Marlins chased him after five innings and unearned runs and the Braves hammered a pair of homers in the seventh, the first of which snapped Dickey's homerless streak at 45 1/3 innings.

San Francisco has won 6 of the last 7 games and they have also won 14 of the last 16 home games coming off three or more road games. Tim Lincecum has won 9 of the last 11 games as a favorite of -150 or higher and he has also won 26 of the last 37 home games when the total posted is 7.5 runs or less.

    Dodgers at Cards: good value

Kershaw has won his last two starts by allowing only two earned runs and striking out 20 batters in that span. Just as impressive, he has allowed no walks in two of his last three outings, thanks in part to his relatively new repertoire of pitches.

Furthermore, Kershaw has a modest .198 average in his last five starts against the Cards and is 2-0 in his last two start while. Carpenter is 0-2 in his last two against the Dodgers.

Carpenter, on the other hand, is 0-2 in his last two outings, surrendering 18 hits and 11 earned runs in those nine innings for an easy-to-figure but hard-to-explain 11.00 ERA during that span.

White Sox at Twins again. away team... White Sox are hot. Twins have been struggling recently and have a couple injuries. good value

The White Sox were the hottest team in baseball heading into the All-Star break. They have won eight straight and a few days off isn't likely to break their momentum

Especially against the fellow AL Central contending Twins, who have defeated the Chi-Sox 12 times in their last 15 meetings (stat that contradicts this lean)

The White Sox pitched their way to a half-game lead in the division, getting 27 quality starts in their last 31 outings while winning 25 of their last 30.

The Twins counter with a struggling Kevin Slowey, who came out of the bullpen in his last appearance. The Twins have lost four of their last five and scored just 13 runs in those four defeats.

    Texas/Boston over 10 -

Did look into the stats here. Take a look in this. over def seems favored. I don't have stats to just copy and paste. don't have the time. but do like the play. thoughts? Wakefield has a bad ERA at home..

1 of my favorite plays is probably: Atl/Brewers under 8.5

Def think this is solid. a very good play.. Dave Bush last 3 starts, 3 unders.. is pitching well.. All 3 of Jurrjens starts at home have been unders..

    At Atlanta...
8 of 9 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons

    Atlanta winning agst Brewers

Like Braves here at home... not good value. perhaps in a parlay? Thing that concerns me is Bush and him pitching well. you have any thoughts? maybe smart to stay away..
