    MLB Friday

    ____________________________________________

8-2 in my last 4 days of play. Lost a (back door cover) total on the Cubs/LA Angels this afternoon with a 3 run dinger in the bottom of the 9th, & will bounce back to win these 2 night games..

    KC @ Atlanta

    Derek Lowe
    8-5, 4.81 ERA

    Brian Bannister
    6-4, 5.40 ERA

Brian Bannister struggles on the road.. Bannister has posted an 8.05 ERA and 1.660 WHIP in his last 3 starts. In 6 road starts this season, Bannister has gone 1-3 with an 8.22 ERA and 1.729 WHIP.

Derek Lowe sports a solid 5-2 record with a 3.74 ERA and 1.177 WHIP in 7 home starts this season. Atlanta is 20-4 against the money line as a home favorite of -110 or higher this season.. Atlanta is high calk but i willing!!

    over KC

    Baltimore @ San Diego

LeBlanc is 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA in his last two starts after losing four starts in a row.

LeBlanc is 2-0 with a 1.05 ERA in three home starts against teams with a losing record (Arizona, Milwaukee, Seattle).

Matusz is 0-7 with a 5.13 ERA in his last 10 starts.

Matusz won his first two road starts this season, but he’s 0-4 with a 6.69 ERA in his last five road starts.

The Padres have won each of those starts by multiple runs – 5-3 vs. Arizona, 9-0 vs. Milwaukee, and 7-1 vs. Seattle.

The Padres are 12-3 at home vs. teams with a losing record.

The Orioles are 2-9 in road series openers this season, and they’re 6-16 overall in series openers this season.

Oh, and the Orioles are the league’s worst road team, sporting a 7-27 road mark coming into tonight’s game.

It’s understandable that the odds are a little less in favor of the Padres given that the pitching matchup looks to be somewhat even, but LeBlanc comes in pitching very well, and the Orioles, well, they’re the Orioles, so I‘m all too glad to get a solid team at home with a very, very good number.
