ORIOLES +1.5 @ + money is a play that fits into two systems I use. I believe they win this game out right, but just in case the Yankees make a late comeback I see taking the run and a half at pus money a safe play.

Taking a team +1.5 is just -EV.. Not sure what system has this as profitable.

I was looking at the line, that is an awful bet though taking the O's at +125 hoping for a 1 run loss.
Don't concern yourself with gambling terminolgy such as +EV and -EV bets. It's obviuos you think those are connected or related to the actual ML or RL which they are not. However, good luck with your play.

EV = Expected Value in Poker term. When you place your money in bad spot sometimes you win but in long run it will become -EV. When you picking right spot to lays money in yet you got suckout and lost but in long run you should make profit from it.
SPortbetting samething if you treat it as investment like I do then don't look at 1day/ 1 week result you need to look into monthlong investing it.
There's no way you can win long term picking big dogs on the RL making them near pick'ems

Nice point. Consider your audience here. Most never get that deep. Most have not even developed a MM system that keeps them in play long enough to even be concerned with -+EV bets. Most here will have a few beers close to game time and read a few blurbs on ESPN and make an uninformed decision in less than 10 minutes.

You do realize that going all in is the most -EV you can do since you except to lose longterm, and thats what you do a lot, even 20% are -EV!
Out of 35 NYY win 31 times they win and Cover the RL and 4 times they win by 1 ( all 4 games not cover RL is on the road) Very much NYY at home when bet then can bet RL better

out of 16 win 12 games they win by RL and 4 games they win by 1 pt
Overall when think about RL all together then NYY road record on 12 win cover RL and 19 Lose
