by the way i just looked in the regular jm thread. people have lost a lot of money on the phillies. they were a v3.0 play against houston, and were swept. this is why i choose not to chase past the B bet. if the team can't win by then....something's wrong. so that makes two v3.0 losses and three official losses this year in the jm system. if i was using his martingle money management system there is NO WAY i would be up the 20 units i am. unless i could keep doubling up with an unlimited bank until a win happens. we'll see how this system does in it's last week, but i would have to say that it has had more success at least this season.
it looked like a great night after the early games. but only the twins win for me in the late games. the angels couldn't score, and tim lincecum got rocked in the 1st inning. he is obviously not the force he was in '09. 3-2 overall is still a profit. enough to cross off the 26 on the line.
bank: 23.38 units
record: 42-24
line: 13-13-13-13-x
so on to the B bets with the angels and giants. those A bets should have been easy wins for both teams if you look at their opponents. ahh well.
risking 26 (2.6 units) on the giants RL (no odds yet) 9:05 ET
risking 26 (2.6 units) on the angels RL (no odds yet) 9:05 ET
absolutely pathetic. i figured at least one of these teams would be able to win at home against weak opponents. not only did both teams lose, they were not even competitive.
bank: 18.18 units
record: 42-26
line: 13-13-13-13-x-26-26
well i guess this is why jm stops his mlb system in september. and i am thinking of stopping here too. teams are just not doing what they are supposed to anymore. 18 units is not great. but it's not bad either. and i don't want to blow everything that was gained during these last 2 months. so i will post the plays on monday. but i probably wont be playing off the line.
rays and yanks get it done easily. i can't help but to think that long rain delay screwed things up for the marlins. anyhow 2-1 gave me a small profit for the night.
bank: 18.69 units
record: 44-27
so the last play of the season will be the marlins B bet tonight.
the marlins win, but unfortunately don't cover for me.
ending bank: 17.19 units
2010 mlb record: 44-28
well kind of a bitter end to the season. but if you look at how poor the real jm system did, this system overall was a success in my opinion. because there was still a little profit.
i want to thank everyone who followed this thread and gave positive feedback. i don't think i had many followers. but i hope the ones who did were able to profit as well.
this system still needs some shaping overall. one mistake i made was increasing the line every time. at the end i was risking 3+ units per game. that's great if you win. but i learned the hard way (this past weekend) that it can be devastating if you don't win. so i got carried away there. the whole point to this system is to protect your bankroll in case of a loss. so the best thing to do is keep wagers at 1 unit. and 1 unit should be no more than 2-5% of your bank. i have only been betting sports for about 2 yrs now. so i am still learning as i go.
i plan on using this system for the NFL/NHL/NBA upcoming season. if anyone is intrested in starting a labouchere system thread for those, let me know. i'll probably start a new thread anyway. but it wont be titled john morrison. because i plan on having my own plays in there too. take care, and best of luck to all.
Hi edh1011
Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I haven't bet any of the picks but I check in regularly to see how you are going. I've found your information very interesting. I'll certainly check to see if you have other threads to see how you run the labouchere betting method. Good luck for the upcoming sports
if anyone who followed this is interested, i started a thread under service plays "2010-11 labby thread". it will have jm NFL/NBA/NHL, and sports betting professor NCAA football/NFL/NBA.
yeah it was shut down today. we may have to just post daily jm/sbp plays in the "service plays" and just update the labby lines from there. i will post here where to find them
