    giants tonight

pelfrey got rocked in philly last weekend, not that that's uncommon or anything. however, he has had shoulder issues recently, and skipped a bullpen session--could be problematic for someone who likes to throw with heavy sink (usually the tired arm is better). gonna ride the baller sanchez at -103 ML

Agree. Lots of system for me pointing to Giants. Taking them +1.5 and ML. GL!

I'd love for you to be right as a diehard Giants fan, but I'd stay away tonight for these reasons:

*Sanchez has been a different man this year but I'm still not ready to trust him on the road just yet. His mental makeup just makes him vulnerable. He lost it last start because he wasn't getting borderline calls from the ump

*The Giants bullpen is pretty much spent from the FLA series

*Giants had no travel day off while the Mets had yesterday off

*The Giants aren't going 6-0 on this road trip. They'll probably win Sunday with Lince on the mound. Their losing either tonight or tomorrow or both

    I hope I'm wrong!

    tatddy:
i agree with the sanchez point, however cain did go 7 yesterday, and wilson and affeldt pitched an inning combined.
i wouldnt be worried about a 2.5 hour flight to nyc for this game. the mets beating an average dodgers team 4 times does not make them unbeatable by any means. i hope most people are thinking that to inflate the line

I haven't been too hot in the last few days, but I'm rolling with the Mets in this one. Pelfrey should be just fine tonight, and as much as Sanchez may have turned a corner, I can't back him on the road against a hungry team and a good pitcher.
