Milwaukee @ LA Dodgers
The Brewers have now lost eight of their last 10 games. Only one of those losses is by less than two runs, a 6-5, 14-inning loss to Pittsburgh last Wednesday.
The Brewers are starting an inexperienced pitcher in Narveson, who hasn’t exactly pitched lights out on the way to earning this starting gig. In each of his last seven relief outings, he’s allowed at least a run in every outing, which isn’t a sightly statistic when you’re a reliever.
Narveson has shown potential, sure, but he’s allowed 22 hits and nine walks in only 15 innings pitched. When you’re putting on an average of two runners per inning, that’s going to come back to bite you, especially against a lineup as potent as the Dodgers’ is (when it wants to be, at least).
Speaking of allowing runners, Kershaw certainly isn’t absolved of guilt. He’s allowed almost as many walks (22) as he has hits (23) in his 29.1 innings thus far, and he hasn’t walked any less than three in any of his starts.
However, as much trouble as he’s prone to get himself into, he should be in line to do very well tonight at home. In three home starts this season, he’s 1-0 with a 2.47 ERA.
The Brewers have the bats to take advantage of Kershaw’s wildness, but at the same time, those bats aren’t exactly firing on all cylinders right now, which leaves very little margin for error with an inexperienced starter on the hill.

Colorado @ San Diego
The Rockies had the pitching advantage last night, and tonight, it’s the Padres who have it, with a hot Wade LeBlanc on the hill against a cold Greg Smith.
