    Yankee Game Blacked Out?

    Any idea why? Live in NY. Doesn't make sense since its a national game

    blacked out in New England too.... we gotta go to Nesn... thinking you might have to go to Yes... I am thinking somehow they didnt fully sell out which is surprising

    No it has to due with the "exclusive rights" clause, ESPN dosen't have those for this game so

    . Local broadcast and cable stations which contract with a team to show their games in the local market have priority to televise those games over national broadcasters If ESPN or MLB Network telecasts a game, and the game was scheduled to be telecast by the local rights holder, the game will be blacked out on ESPN or MLB Network in that market
