I agree with you on the Devil Rays, I am going to play them tommarow, they are the under dog here, and they got a great pitcher who had success against the red sox just back on 7/29 winning 5-2, He pitched 6 innings, gave 6 hits and no runs, if he could stay in the game longer I think it make their chances even better. Like you said, sometimes they win, and I think tommarow they have higher potentil for a win than on any other day. PLUS! Lester has been nothing special lately, oh yah and did I mention that Kazmir has an ERA of 1.38 over the last 30 days!

I also agree with you on your pick on colorado, I personally am a Padres fan, but even I know that Maddux isnt what he used to be, he is WAY! over rated. Games started by Maddux can be a bit shaky at times, looking at colorado, ITS HOLLIDAY!!! come on! Plue, Hollidays last 10 starts, resulted in 9 wins for colorado! The loss was way back in early July, Holliday is a winner here, Rockies are a winner, good call!

For the Cleveland and Detroit game, I am going to Bet on OVER the run total, These two teams are batteling it out for first place, they both have hot bats, and these pitchers have in the recent past had alright, but nothing special, outings against eachother....These teams are going to pull runs out of their ass every 5 minuates to win this game for the first place position.

I agree with all these plays.

I'm holding off on the D'Rays for now with the hope I can find a better price tomorrow.

I think the over is the best way to play the DET/CLEV game, but I do think think the Indians are the right side. Hafner is scheduled to return tomorrow, which will also help.

Like the plays. I have been on Francis (on the road) a lot the last two months and at first look I liked Colorado too. But I am laying off the game as I always layoff (or playon) the pitchers match-up history. SD just seems to crush Francis. He has allowed 33 hits! and 16 runs in his last 3 against SD and that covered just 17 innings. He has given up 5, 6, 5, 5, 4, 3, 5 and 3 runs in his last 8 against SD. Just a rule I play by and beleive in. I don't like Maddux either so I am off this game and I hope I am wrong. GL 2 U all

I hate to be the bubble-burster, but thinking I had great value with Tampa Bay +165 with Shields last night, I actually don't think +130 is enough for me to take them.

The Rays have the better starter yes, but the Red Sox are much stronger in every other phase of the game. Plus remember that Kazmir is basically a six or seven inning pitcher, so it is a virtual lock that the Tampa Bay bullpen will be called upon tonight.

I do agree with Colorado, and although I lean Cleveland, I never lay more than -125, so I can't bet them.

GL, but I don't understand your reasoning. Bonderman is keeping the line reasonable? This line is inflated due to Bonderman last 3 starts. If Bonderman had been pitching well this line would be much shorter.

You think Maddux is overpriced? -105 at home..I am failing to see this logic

The Tribe just got swept in 3 by the Bronx cause of great pitching, Bonderman I would not classify as great pitching in his last 4 (which were loses) Too much Home runs and too many hits he's giving up in that span. This is the Tribes last 2 Home games before they head on the Road for 9...which will see them in MoTown for a 3 game set. I dont see them going 0-5 on this homestand before heading out and their ace is on the mound. Take care of business at home then worry about the road when it comes. Besides CC's 3 loses in his last 4 came due to lack of run support, his number are still what u expect from a 14-game winner. It was almost as if they didnt care about the Bronx Series and were already looking ahead of this match, where u can distance yourself.
He got a whipping in DeeeTroit, but Verlander pitched awesome.

Any opinions on the STL/Milw game? STL looking good to me esp. at +119. ANother huge series. The CArds coming back from the dead, thanks in large part to the fall oout of the Cubs and Brewers. Pujols hitting. Ankiel hitting. LaRussa not bitching. All happy go lucky now with the Cards.

I felt that game was a trap, and said something along those lines in IMG's other thread about the Indians. It was like the books wanted everyone to jump on the Indians because of the shaky Bonderman.

Is always easy to play the role of guru after the final scores pop up , the Indians could of easily won the game and really deserved it more than the end result , player makes spectacular play and the pedlum swings towards a team , it was the tigers last night . The smart pick was to take the indians it just didnt work out , still the play was indians . No matter what the result . I had braves straight and had the mets so I went 5 - 1 but had the tribe on most of my parlays , avoiding the lemon is guru , cant always avoid it . My picks tonight are phils braves -1.5 indians bjays padres-1.5 If I am 0 - 5 doesnt mean anything , is just 1 night , if 5 - 0 same thing . Is 1 day out of the year this applies evry day .
