Hey Kershaw's back! I expect some rust to be there for him in this first outing so naturally I am rolling with him and Hunter Greene in fantasy only to avoid much foolishness. I faithfully kept a roster spot open for Kershaw and it could pay some good dividends down the road as many managers dropped him and will have to pay dearly to add him to their rosters in the event that he comes out on fire. I have him listed as my number 2 starter behind Joe Musgrove.
Rounding out my top tier top 5 are Robbie Ray (#3) and Frankie Montas (#4). Montas has been absolutely GOLD for me this year and so has Robbie so naturally I paired them up for an UNDER and threw them in 2 leagues apiece and yes I am chasing K's.
All faith has been lost in Alex Wood for the Giants at this point to correct his location issues. I am hanging in there with him purely for the upside and although I am keeping him on my roster this is the start that may make him become deactivated. I have Kyle Wright as my #5 today. Framber Valdez and James Taillon are coming in at #6 and #7 respectively and I will blast away on an improbable UNDER in this format which gives me the chills thinking of the strength of the Bombers and Astronauts offenses.
This leads me to my POD which is going to be Johnny Cueto facing the lackluster Men Wearing Orange offense. Cueto comes in ranked for me at #8. The price for him today kind of sucks because managers were blasting away on him immediately after his last start, totally disregarding the possibility of a scratch and getting caught making moves on air and no way to get their money back. He's not going to get you many K's so tread lightly. I am not going to utilize him in this format because he very well could possibly have a line like 2 earned, 1 K and 2 BB's; the Pale Hose can win the FF by a score of like 4-2 and I could win in this format and take a spanking in my leagues. That's not the objective.
I will sniff around and find the best numbers and then report my wagers shortly
