mlb "season" is like a glorified tournament. no way the stats should really matter the same. just meant to give fans something to watch and us degenerates something to bet.

Plenty of time to get a 57 game hitting streak and back to back to back no hitters pitched

Think about how many houses would be gone if we had listen to you for the last 4 years. Just say it every year till it hits and then act like you made a good prediction.

I know they agreed to report to camp July 1. They may not start the season if Corona continues to spread.

Dodgers will find a way to screw it up.
    They always do.

But yeah the front three for LA (Kershaw, Buehler, Price) is as solid as it gets.

    The 'x' factor is price.
What Price are you going to get, the lights out Price that's going to strike out 10, or the 'hamburger' Price who lays meatballs hanging over the plate and gets hammered for three home runs in five innings?

Jansen is a good closer but he'll make you hold your breath at times.
He reminds me of John Franco when he closed for the Mets.
Franco was the same way, oh sure he'll finish the game but not before he gives up a walk and a single and you're looking at a first and third situation before he gets that last out.
Chapman on the Yanks too to a lesser extent.

Mo Rivera never gave up unnecessary runners.
Looking back on his 20 year career it's even more clear Rivera was the greatest ever at what he did, that's close out games.

Who cares - dumb idea -!they are all going to get sick like the college football teams have.

We are never going to get past this Corona crap until they come up with a vaccine

They could snuff it out with a Marshall law lockdown. But, America does not care if another $100,000 people die. They only care about making money!

Screw the economy! What is the $ value of the 125,000 lives we have lost and the 200,000 more we are going to lose?

What about the 300 + million people that are living with a very low quality of life?

All because the greed for the almighty $ is more important than human lives!

    Very likely to happen.

What will be the cutoff for number of plate appearances to qualify?

3.1 plate appearance x 60 means 186 for the batting title which should count since it is the same for everyone. pitchers should not get more than 12 starts so a 10 game winner would be a cy young candidate. legitimate. didn't king felix win one with 12 wins. the e.r.a title would be unaffected since no starter would be pitching in extra innings more than likely. the hr and rbi leader which should be around 20 hr and 55 rbi also should be recognized. obviously no one is going to compare the records to a 162 game season. you wouldn't have believed the furor that was raised over roger maris beating babe ruth's hr record in 1961 just because it was a 162 game season to ruth's 154. when in fact ruth had 3 more plate appearances than maris did. maris got an asterisk because the press didn't like him and pushed for it. in the future when looking back at this season if it gets completed which is doubtful everyone will concede that it was only 60 games and accept the players totals and results. their figures will all be blended into their lifetime stats so why shouldn't they count and be recognized for this one season. maybe you can make a case if someone hits .400. they will say he won the batting title but ted williams is still the last .400 hitter. when dwight evans won the hr title in 1981 with 22 no one said a word.

    Spot on post.

A few aces will make 13 starts, but yes regular rotation starters will make between 11 ans 12 starts providing the don't miss a turn.

There will be no baseball which is good because starting extra innings with a runner on second is fukkin ridiculous.
