    I thought this was an interesting one. Such a loaded team. A few comments:

    * Strawberry was 7th, 3.4. He was always vulnerable to LHP, particularly in that yr.

    * Wally Backman was 8th, 3.2. He was a low-walk guy, but did hit .320 that yr.

    * Ray Knight was 12th, 2.4. Knight had a big year and was WS MVP. But he was shot after, didn't re-sign, retired within two years b4 going into announcing/managing.

    ya just saw the 30 for 30 documentary about doc and strawberry so alot of those names were in my head ..... yes very good team they had

    For sure. It's so ez for the critics to take shots at uber-talents. Doc + Darryl made it look SO easy.

    Gooden was dominant at a very young age. And Darryl easily had the sweetest LH power stroke imaginable.

    As much as the critics want to shoot daggers at Doc + Darryl...each still wound up having successful careers (by any normal standard). Their career WAR figures are north of some HOFers.
