MLB Trivia Time (Who am I?) Part 2

What starting pitcher recieved the most run support in a single season.
    (minimum 162 innins pitched)

    Definition:
Run support per nine innings measures how many runs an offense scores for a certain pitcher while that pitcher is in the game. That number is then set over a nine-inning timeframe.

Run support is a relatively new stat so don't think back to far.

    So.....
What starter has the record for receiving the best run support in a single season?
Once again minimum 162 innins pitched.

Very tough question, b/c it's really not attached to skill.

I'm going to say: Roger Clemens.

I think he had a season or two where he got a ton of run support.

    Good guesses all, but no.
Think heavy hitting teams and who pitched for them.
    That's a good clue.

    Actually I stand corrected.
    My spreadsheet is not current.
Porcello last year is correct, almost 7

    It was Hughes.
    Porcello is the correct answer.
