Kansas City Royals (+105) - Liking this pick alot. Meche is great on the road this season (2.97 ERA including a poor start at Coors Field). He should be able to dominate a Twins lineup that is really struggling to score runs and is hitting .231 over the last 7 days. Baker's been decent but KC is hot right now and should be able to put up enough runs to give Meche a good chance to win this.
Toronto Blue Jays (-132) - Toronto's lineup will straight up dominate Andy Sonnanstine on Monday. Dustin McGowan has really been starting to pitch well and he should be able to do the job against a slumping Tampa offense that will likely be without Carl Crawford again.
I actually like the Twins tomorrow.. I don't think it's a particularly strong play, but I think the line's a little short. I understand you're reasoning with Meche's success on the road, but he hasn't fared well pitching in the Metrodome (5.24 ERA), in a limited sample, anyway. Despite their recent struggles offensively, I'm not really worried about Minny's offense. A lineup that features Mauer, Morneau and Hunter is bound to pick it up eventually, and although Meche is solid, he's more than hittable.
No strong opinion on the Jays, but I tend to agree with you.
KC Has been playing well but I feel today MINN will have a breakout game at home. Going with MINN. Also taking SEA tonite as they have started hitting again, Angels only a .500 road team and with this being game one on the road trip just think SEA will be waiting and ready. Taking the over on PHI/CUBS as well.
