Baseball is off to a bad start this year

it looks like 2/3’s of these teams need to go back to spring training

Yes. Astros finally looking good now. Astros pitching has been solid and their bats and timing at the plate are looking better Rays have been great so far. Rays pitching seems to be the best and they have not had to over work their bullpen so if they can keep that up?

Both great also. Let's see how Seattle does this week after the tough series with Houston and all those strikeouts. A new series may be all they need now.

I'm actually a Seattle fan and follow them closer than any team in baseball.

However as much as I like them they are not ready to contend. They simply don't have enough pitching.

They might be able to get a wild card but they have no shot at winning the division unless they aquire a starter or 2 and some bullpen help.

I am very very very impressed with the following players though. Haniger, Gordon, Santana, Encarnacion, Vogelbach, Bruce, Beckham, and it will be interesting to see if Kyle Seager can contribute when he returns.

But man that pitching staff is just brutal. They can't compete with the big boys. I guess the only starter I somewhat trust is Gonzales and he is just slightly above average.

The Padres.... ehhh I like the line-up but and the bullpen is pretty good but those starters are pretty awful.

yep the Rays have an awesome bullpen and a true ace in Snell.

They just need maybe 1 more big bat and 1 more starter in the roation and they may take the East.

Dont forget, it's still really early. Hottest teams last year at this time were the Angels and Mets and they crapped the bed.
