The Yankees are making the playoffs this season.

Every analysis will agree with me.

    I win. Again.

The following wild-card teams have won the World Series: the Florida Marlins, in 1997 and 2003; the Anaheim Angels, in 2002; the Boston Red Sox, in 2004; the St. Louis Cardinals, in 2011; and the San Francisco Giants, in 2014. Thus, three consecutive titles, from 2002 to 2004, were won by a wild card- (They should do like the NBA and seed teams base on Records - Why should the Indians get rewarded? Yankees going be 40 games over 500 and have 2 play A 1 game elimination -_- zZz

I love it. Puts major emphasis on winning your division. I can remember years where Yanks/Red Sox late in the season meant nothing because both teams were locked into a playoff series anyway.

Win your division, and if you don't, you should be happy you're in the playoffs anyway. Plus, what's better than a one and done?

So Giants are only team to win one-game Wild Card Playoff and then win World Series.

Let's not forget you aren't in the playoffs until you win the wild card play in game. Getting into the wild card game is not getting into the playoffs.

Nope. It should be atleast 3 games. Make it 5 inning game if you need it to be short. But 1 game to decide the fate after 162 games is terrible.
