Is Mets under 89.5 the easiest total ever?

seriously how does this team win 90 games? It would take an absolute miracle.

    BettingWizard,
You are probably looking at the lines posted at The Greek and those are LAST YEARS projected regular season win totals which is why no betting lines are offered on them yet.

All of the regular season win totals you are seeing are going to be changed to reflect the realities of last season along with all the off season deals that were done.

I would guess when betting lines are offered, you are going to see a vastly reduced number on the Mets regular season win total.

Sorry for the delivery of news you didn't want to hear.

I got real excited when I saw that Angels under 87 1/2 and Seattle over 79 1/2 and thought Greek went on a charity binge.

I then realized all those lines sure look similar to last year and finally made the connection.

They've made some nice additions (Bay, Matthews, Escobar) but they definitely still have some holes. If Beltran and Reyes can stay healthy, and Wright comes back to form, I think they have a chance. They still have a helluva ace and a helluva closer.

Matthews is way overrated. He signed a huge contract after getting caught with steroids. SInce then he's a -1.6 WAR player (http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx...53&position=OF). He's 36 years old too. that wasn't that good of an addition.

If Johan and Reyes return to form, the Mets will be 81-81 at worst. Depending on how the rest of the team performs is what you would be betting on.

I projected about 78 wins. Don't understand this number.
