Votto is a great player but if he pulls up a seat next to me at the bar I probably wouldn't recognize him

wow, I had zero clue he had a shaved head.

I bet 99% of America would sit next to him on the El train or on a bar stool next to him at Murphy's and have zero clue he was a professional athlete

heard he's a super good dude!

    Like Sean Casey level nice

He just looks like a regular dude and wasn't entering at the players' entrance. Non-story.

    Stop messing around in here

The guy has decent #'s but not hall of fame #'s

Go check his stats...he's never even had a 200 hit season, and he's not a home run hitter. His #'s wont even be close unless he plays another 10 years and he's already in his 12th, i think.

No chance unless he gets to 3000 hits

I think he's one of the better players, but not HOF worthy unless his career #'s increase drastically as he ages....which i don't see happening

I'm pretty sure that none of them were voted in solely on OPS and OBP

Votto doesn't have the #'s yet to even talk about it

Fat boy stick to donuts and chicken wings - votto is the ultimate moneyball player - never gives up easy outs and always working pitchers pitch counts

he is under contract for 5 more years after this. at that time he'll be at between 380-400 hr . one thing you are not taking in to acct twist is this is one of few years he has decent protection. Jay bruce or adam dunn batted behind him many years. they were horrible protection. that is why he has so many walks. He will have about 2700 hits. Now if he plays couple more years he should be at 2900 which should put him in.
