Colorado Rockies -165 vs. Philadelphia Phillies
After a miserable 1-9 road trip, the Rockies came back home and swept the Mets convincingly at Coors Field, scoring 34 runs in 3 games off of a fairly good pitching staff. Tonight's starter, Jeff Francis, has been excellent at Coors Field. Over his last 5 starts at home dating back to May 12th, he has an impressive 1.70 ERA, going 7 innings or more in each start. In fact, he has gone 7 innings or more in 10 of his last 12 starts overall. The Phillies are also batting .250 off of lefties this season. Matt Holliday and Garrett Atkins are red hot and Brad Hawpe is batting .323 over his last 8 games.
Kyle Kendrick has pitched decently for the Phillies, but that's all he's been. Decent. He's a 6 inning pitcher who has trouble with the long ball, and that is not a good thing when you're facing a hot Rockies lineup at Coors Field. Kendrick also admittedly aggravated a slight groin pull against the Mets his last time out. The Phillies bullpen (4.76 ERA) is going to have a tough time trying to stop the bleeding if Kendrick gets in trouble early. Jimmy Rollins has a worse average from the right side and only 4 of his 15 homers have come as a righty. Ryan Howard bats .204 off of lefties.
Look for the Rockies to take this game. Good luck!
