Any MLB Club Signing Harper to 200 Million Contract Is Looking At Ruination Of Team

Mechanical hitter , bad team attitude, not enough good production at bats

You can get 5 great pitchers for that price and not strap your team financially and of course WIN

Is rather see the yankees get machado.

I don't think harper gets the deal he's expecting.

I would take him if I had the locker room to support him. Hard to say though whats going to click and what's not with people.

He probably already has a good situation there.

I think he wants to remain a nat no? Or just seems he would re-sign there at least during this stage of his career.

    6 year 180 seems right

Wise or not, he will get wayyyyy more than that. More like 8-10 at 35-40 per. Just reality.

I know he will D2 Im just saying if I'm a GM thats what I would offer. The price would have to be right. He can cripple a team as jj and others have said. I wouldn't sign a 10 year deal for 200-400 million no thanks.

Ill take a few other RF/OF over him.

Eh, I'm going to have to disagree with this.

Guy is 24, already has an MVP and 150 career homers, .300 average.

If I'm Boston or NYY, This is my 1st baseman or DH, get him out of the OF. I get 155 games a year now, and I get 45 hr, 120 rbi and .325 average.

10 year, 300mm all day long in the AL

Good grief, but might be the best all around player since Willie Mays....you can't over value the best, you can only over value those behind the best.

So you would do 6 for 180 but not 10 for 200?

    No I wouldn’t pay 10 years for a player.

You never know what kind of injuries or unforeseen issue may arise.

I would pay more for a shorter period of time based on performance.

    Thats a looong time.

hes going to get much more than what I said

it just seems silly to do it is all I’m saying

Mike Trout might end up in the Hall of Fame and he has no impact on the team when he was hurt this year they actually did the same

The thing is, the money is there and the agents know it, it's just a matter of who gets what. So if Harper isn't getting a max contract, then who does? Gotta spend that money

Only team in modern sports that I can remember that won it all under duvet was the Marlins, and they somehow did it twice.

Why do you get that, other than the average he's never did those numbers before. Never a 100 rbi year, that might surprise some folks.
