Padres: I congratulate Chad Bettis on his cancer recovery. That must be a very scary circumstance for such a young man, but; his pitching has declined steadily from two quality starts out of the gate. Chacin has been commendable all season, especially at home. Properly adjusted for the difference in these team’s home parks the Padres have as much or more offensive potential today as do the Rockies.

I am getting this one out early because the line is already on the move and will only get worse.
