After successfully cashing the Under in the Blue Jays game, this is the game that i have had a eye on since a while today but it has only qualified to become my 2nd official play for tonight. The cubs and dodgers were involved in a low scoring affair in the first game and i have a strong reason to believe that the trend is going to continue tonight.
John Lackey will be squaring off against Brandon McCarthy in this match up. What i quite like in this match up is the fact that these two have pitched very well against the clubs they are playing against tonight. While McCarthy is coming of one of the best starts of his season, Lackey is looking to bounce back from the loss against giants. The numbers both these have make a very strong reason for our play.
Lackey holds just a 1.70 ERA against the dodgers in 12 career starts, which is the lowest for him against any club, and McCarthy has just a 1.47 ERA in 4 starts against the cubs, which clearly indicates that the offense of both clubs have not been able to figure out both of these guys and i believe this trend will continue tonight. Lackey is a veteran and will do exactly what is expected from him and so will Brandon, i don't see this game reaching the line that has been set, and i am pretty confident about the under here. Expect both these pitchers to take the game deep as they enjoy pitching against each other's respective clubs. I have played this now.. Lets cash this and make this another perfect night for all of us.
