MLB.TV is the shittiest product I've ever bought.

    Where do I even start?

    - I'm in Vegas, so SIX teams are in my blackout range for some dipshit reason. Every Cali team and Arizona. And if LAA is playing TOR in Toronto for example, I'm blacked out there too, which makes zero sense.

    - If a game is on ESPN (which I happily don't have anymore), it's blacked out too.

    - Countless delays on the feed. You'll miss entire ABs just on the delays alone. There will be nobody on base, it will buffer and skip, then all of a sudden there's two men on. Not even worth it. I'm watching StL/BOS, and it's 4-4 in the 9th, but in all likelihood the game is probably over and i just don't know it yet.

    - And that's if you can even watch the game because the feed will konk out completely every other day. I can't think of one time I could watch the Cardinals home feed all the way through. I usually have to just give up.

So I email the company and tell them just what I told you, and they denied my cancel request, LOL. No refund, you're just gonna have to F'n deal with it! Pretty gangster on their end, I'll give them that, but if this is how you handle complaints and requests for refunds, it's only a matter of when.

MLB doesn't have the luxury of pissing off their remaining fans.

I agree Ralph, you pay for in my opinion a ultra high quality feed that should run well. At this point find better feeds on Reddit.

Had it a couple years ago, used to watch in on xbox but saw that was useless since it was at least a minute behind. I paid for a year didnt renew but of course they tried to charge me the following year had to call and get money back, they prob had some small writing somewhere saying sub continues unless cancelled or some very recluse little box x'ed in that I didnt notice. Yea the blackouts also yuck, ended up not really ever using it.

Yes, but I don't watch basketball before the playoffs. To each their own.

Good looking out on VPN fellas, will check it out. Want to watch it on my TV and not my laptop though, if there's a way to do that.

If it's a smart tv, it probably already has the mlb.tv app or can get it probably. If it's not smart, you'll need a Roku or something similar.

I watch it through my PS3, which has the app.

Before anyone says anything about the PS3 being the problem, I've used it for plenty of other internet-related things with no issue at all, so it's not that.

I know what you mean, when I visit my relatives in Orange County, I was expecting the Angels game to be blacked out. Actually both Angels and Dodger games get blacked out. I can watch the Giants, dBacks, and Padres fine. When I watch MLBtv in San Diego, I can watch all Cali games and dBacks games fine, but the Padres gets blacked out.

To get the ps3, smart tv, or roku or whatever to connect to a vpn, you can set up a dedicated vpn router. That way, anything that connects to the router, will be on a vpn.

I have it as well. I'm blacked out on Cleveland and Pittsburgh games. Im about an hour between the two in opposite directions. I can deal with that because I have Slingbox that has FSO for Indians. My problem is the skipping. I'm watching a game and it's the 5th inning, it goes to commercial between innings and comes back it's suddenly the 2nd inning. I exit out and it shows the 5th inning again for about 1 pitch then skips back to 2nd. It's the weirdest shit. Drives me penetrating nuts.

I've never had a single problem with MLB.tv personally.

Living in the UK, blackouts obviously aren't an issue. And unless my internet connections drops out, there's no buffering issues either.

The main problem is only being able to watch early games during the week, as anything that start at 7pm EST and later is after midnight here in the UK.

    I also gave up.
    I made the same complaints.

    I just get it illegaly

Sort of feel bad, but not really when they don't give you what you pay for.

I work a lot of nights.
I can watch the games at Red Rock or Santa Fe.
MLB won't get my $150 because they are assholes and I can accomadate myself.

Anyone getting blackout notice just needs to use a VPN. You can appear to be in Europe and not get blacked out for any game.

I also posted a thread on how to get MLB.TV for free with a T-Mobile phone account. You can't beat free.

Best streaming service I've found. Yea you have to pay a little but every major league sport is availble and the streams are very high quality. Good luck.

The mlb network on cable is pretty crappy too. They play old baseball movies during the regular season. I cant stand theshow intentional talk. The host is awful. Its to bad ESPN is going to eventually get rid of baseball tonight and replace it with intetentinal talk. I really like baseball tonight it was the better form of media as far as getting alternative view points on the league instead of having mlb dictate the opinions on the air waves. And the live look ins are just as bad.Who wants to see clips of ballgames and have guys in the studio talking over the local anouncers. Its like watching a bad episode of mystery science theater for baseball. I dont like the sound of the bat and the umpire being muted on the network. Heres a bright idea show a game every night on the cable network also have no black outs and sell the ad space online during games. You could also show some triple a minor league games as well and include the minor league world series. I could run the online service and cable network better than the people that currently run it.

Amazon Firebox with Kodi and add the Smoothstreams.tv for $10/Month and you will get every major sporting event/PPV and most of the other sports events in addition to every movie, tv show, etc.

you use smoothstreams jj? I'm trying to investigate which are the best (gears, over the top, smooth, dexter, etc) because media is fine (all tv and movies) on Kodi but sports has really suffered over the last half year
