Only problem is they will probably limit his innings some what so you might not get to see him for the entire season. Zito is the worst pitcher in this rotation. Lincecum, Cain and Bumgarner will give all these NL west offenses a run for their money.
If Sanchez ever gets his shit together, big if, he could be something too. He is the one of the younguns with a no-hitter and really good stuff. This is gonna have to be the year he emerges as a top notch starter for the Giants to contend.

Giants are going to win the NL west MLB is moveing back to speed and d. The lack of power is ok. BTW I grew up in the east bay as an A's fan and now live in ATL and go to Braves games all the time. So I am in no way a Giants fan!

prolly the best 1-2 punch in the game, though the latter part of the rotation can be bipolar and last years relative success of sanchez (i know no-hitter, but full body of work was still avg.) and zito is uplifting for this team. gotta luv kung-fu panda too!!

They need their hitting to consistently produce (does production from the Giants offense count as production?) a few runs per game. They have the pitching, but hitting is well below average. if they make the playoffs though, Very good chance to win it

I think that they could do it but they need to make a deal at the trade deadline to bolster their lineup, but anytime you have the 1-2 punch that they do you are going to be dangerous.

The LA Dodgers will win that Division every year for the next 5+ with the youth they have there and the experience they have gained over the last two seasons. (and please dont comment on their 0-2 start, please dont embarrass yourself.) I LOVE THE SF starters, sure, and if they made the playoffs I absolutely would not want to play them. In a 5 game series, no one can rival that staff...The problem is though, they wont ever make it. not with ZERO offense and 162 games.
Only one WC and the weakness in the Central dominated by STL and MIL, as well as the constant battle for second in the East between ATL and FLA will make it nearly impossible for the Giants to get in.

Loney Kemp Ethier J/RMart Broxton Kershaw Billingsley... all 26 or less. Kungfu is the man, but he swings at EVERYTHING. don't expect him to carry that team. Renteria is declining (and I know about the 5-5 game) and Rowand is the beneficiary of a sweet contract year season in the comforts of Cit Bank.
Good Luck, SF fan, but it's just not gonna happen. And with Lincecum's mechanics and size, don't expect him to be there forever. Im just being real.

Giants will win the division, the NLDS, the NLCS, then the WS.

Noone can touch our piching. Plain and simple. Linecum, Cain, Zito, and Sanchez are all filthy. This is the best pitching staff in the major leagues, and the offense is healthy, happy, and revamped. (Except Freddy Sanchez)

    2010 is our year.

This is a make or break outing for Wellemeyer IMO, he has to be decent on the road or they have to look elsewhere. The 5th starter has to be effective right now with Timmy struggling.

I say trade Molina and Bumgarner for a beastly outfielder.

Put Burrell in left, Posey at catcher, Huff at first, and the beast in left. This would be a good lineup. But no, Sabean and Bochy are too stupid for this.

Looks like they agree with the trading Molina part but thank God they didn't trade Bumgarner.

No i don't think the giants can win the whole thing. I think the american league is by far the better league in my opinion and it's gonna be tough to beat them in the world series whoever the AL team is .. Yes i'm biased i love the Tigers

giants should claim Dunn off waivers or another bat somewhere. No doubt they got the pitching to do it, one more big bat and i think theyll be representing the NL in the world series

It may be worth to take a shot on them with the future world series. I really like the potential of this Giants team. They're about as healthy as any other team plus they added right handed bats Buster Posey and Cody Ross (versatile player who adds depth). Lincicum, Cain, and Sanchez all are capable of shut down stuff any given night. Bullpen is one of the best plus one of the elite closers. Their only weakness is the lack of consistency hitting wise, but if you take a look at their lineup they're solid with potentially dangerous hitters 1-8 with bench depth.

A lot of similarites between this Giants club and the '69 Mets. If the Amazin's could go all the way, no reason why the Giants can't.

Lot of versatility on this team as well, guys can play a ton of positions, Bochy has options.

Something is happening in the city by the bay...

a lot of runs being scored is NOT happening in the city by the bay.... hope you're pitching staff gives up 2 or less every game.
