    Wrigley weather Friday

Heads up. Looks like it will be seasonably warm with winds gusting straight out 15-25mh. That's serious business right there.

Not real good news for the Indians either. Tomlin is a very heavy flyball and HR pitcher.

Line and totals will be tricky to set. I'm guessing Cubs -210 and O/U 9.5.

    Aren't you from chicago?

You, of all people, should know books don't even release totals for regular season games until game day at wrigley because the wind can be so random.

    Its Wednesday night.

I know they don't release a total until day of. Just saying that's what I think it will be.

Haha I just like the weather will be blowing out 15-25 mph on Friday statement. I assume the D in D2bets stands for Doppler? Lol

You're missing the point. The wind direction is so random that they won't release a total until hours before the game, unlike any other ballpark.

And you are speculating about Friday's wind on Wednesday.

It's not as random as you think. Sure there can be a late curveball sometimes, but more often than not you can get a good read a couple days before. Let's bump this Friday and see if my forecast was right.

    Let's make 9.0 a push. It could be 9.

8.5 or lower you win, 9.5 or higher I win. But we'd have to pick a book and a time. And what if it's -130/+110?

Closing line at Pinny as shown by SBR odds. We'll just ignore the odds. 9 is a push. 9.5+ I win; 8.5 or lower you win.

I'm good for it. I trust you are too.

LOL. We could have used the same NOAA map, just typed in Chicago, Il. But this is easier. If our buddy is right, it looks extremely windy, just which way at the park??? If it's blowing out, BOMBS Away !!!!!

    Friday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Windy, with a southwest wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

45mph SW gusts - that's holy shitt material right there. SW is blowing straight out.

Youre gonna need some serious line movement to win this bet d2. Total is out at 8 and the under is juiced as of now.

    Holy fukking fukk fukk.

I just hammered the ever loving fukk outta the over! Bookmakers fukked this up bad. I won't win our bet, but I do think total might move to 9, probably not 9.5 though.

7.5 is a wind-neutral line I would think. This is fukking crazy. Everything I have seen still says winds howling out. It's been awhile, but do people seriously not conceive of what this means? Strongest SW winds of the season it looks like.

I'm surprised it's even listed now. Like you said, Wrigley total usually not posted until day of.

I agree, I bet the over already too. I wish the Cubs tt was out already I would hit that as well.

Although most places do not predict winds as high as the links you posted. I see around 17 mph.

Yeah they've been putting playoff lines up earlier than they do regular season. Hopefully we catch them with a bit of a mistake.

Hendricks low ball pitcher, not much up in the strike zone. As long as Cubs score 8, LOL, over looks easy.

This IS more than a bit of a mistake. Hammer the shit outta that over. That's fukkin whack. Pop flies are going to blow into the 3rd row of the bleachers. I know Hendricks can be tough, but that's whack. Cubs TT should be like, what, 4.5? They'll tag Tomlin for 5 alone easy.

Then just take Cubs TT. At current line/total, should be like 4.5. So tasty. Even though they will only hit 8 frames.

Seriously though, if this was wind-neutral, it'd be maybe 7.0 or 7.5 right? 25+ mph winds out is worth more than .5 or 1.0 runs. Come on now. wtf

Thats the thing usually things aren't this easy. I normally use theweathernetwork.com hourly forecast and daily baseball data for weather and they are fairly reliable. And they are not forecasting anywhere near the 45 mph you say.

    Lets hope you are right.

What are they forecasting? I mostly see 15-25mph. That's major huge. 45mph is just a possible occasional gust.

SEE NOAA, the rest of the country uses it daily. Weather is not an Exact science you know. 45 MPH gusts are still deadly
