Cubs are just the better team. Cubs in 4 or 5.

Don't get caught up in last nights SF win. The Cubs are not the Mets.

Cubs have the advantage in starting pitching, bullpen, and a better offense.

It's baseball and anything can happen, but the Cubs are the better team.

No debate there, Cubs are the better team. but....

The Giants are the perfect antithesis to a team like the Cubs imho. Good rotation, great defense, scrappy hitting team, and a competitive bullpen--yes, nothing to write home about. Cubs on paper in a regular season context are better in each category, but in a playoff environment where the world of expectations are on the Cubs' shoulders and against a very dangerous Giants team who is already in gear, Cubs are currently overpriced. These teams are much closer than the current offering. Oddsmakers know that they have to beg for Giants money because of the public's perception, the Cubs amazing regular season, and most of the big names are on the Cubs.

Ball bounces differently in the fall, especially in the NL, and at a slightly larger price of 2 to 1, Giants for the series provides some value imho.

If the Giants can win this series, isnt the value found in the Giants to win the World Series?

You might be right. Is Vegas going to get buried on Cubs futures all the way through the World Series?

    What are the odds?

If they win, I think perhaps they might be favored over either the Nats or Dodgers.

    Still no.

In the home game last weekend bum was -118 vs rich hill in a game that was a must win for them and meant nothing to the dodgers. You think that much has changed?

Until the Giants lose a playoff series, I'll keep pounding them; Giants in six.

    Yeah, it's the playoffs.

I don't think the Giants are going to get there, but if they do that's means they'll have beaten the Cubs with Bum going in Game 3. I think the winner if the Cubs/Giants series will be the winner of the NL.

He could also come out of the bullpen to pitch the last 4 innings of Game 5 on 2 days rest, just like he did in Game 7 vs. the Royals,

There is no such thing as 200% probability and "locks" don't exist. I'm going to remember that post; look for a bump.

I think he was referring to the Cubs/Giants series (which can't go 6) even though he was responding to someone who was talking about a hypothetical Giants /Dodgers series.

This is where books make money.

Let me present it for you fools.

    1. They set the price a little high.
Cubs should be -190 not -225 or higher.

    2. Guys are now afraid to bet against the giants cause off history and even year thing.

    3. Cubs have a bad history and no one will lay money( public that is) on the huge favorite cause of the above factors.

I will tell you guys one thing- the San Francisco Giants will NOT win this series.
