    MLB Draft /Teams Tank?

Might be worth a small play for these 6 teams to see if they tank and not try to win games at the end of the MLB season here to gain best draft positions?
    Wins SD 67 Oak 67 Cincy 66 Az 65 TB 65 Atl 64
Minne has lost 56 and wrapped up #1 pick!

congratulations you are the only person who ever thought a MLB would tank for the draft. players are not going to tank when their individual stats mean so much. they don't want the team to draft a good player to replace them for one thing. the pitchers want to lower their era not raise it. how many batters are going to strike out on purpose so their team can get a better draft pick next june. ludicrous thread.

they are less concerned about "winning". more concerned about their contract and staying employed. this is true in all the major sports. the fans think, oh if you don't win it all you're a failure. the players say, just keep those bi-monthly paychecks continuing to be direct deposited in my bank account. the owners say, just perform well enough to fill those seats and sell concessions. if we win fine, if we don't so what. to think that a player would tank so his team would get a better draft pick is laughable.

Managers/GM direction make the starting line-ups and playing Triple AAA kids vs vets is the angle. You missed it.

what did i miss. teams that are out of it have always played their minor league call-ups. it's not because they want to lose to get a better draft pick. they want to see if any of these are ready for promotion of course. they don't play if they're playing a team still in it. the only league that tanks is the NBA. NFL teams don't even want a top pick due to the contract they have to offer.

And it is goofy to tank in NBA as you still have to get the luck of the ping pong balls in your favor
