Fuk yeah, how can you not root for a dude like Tebow?

Will he make it to the bigs?
    Not a chance in hell.
12 years removed from the game, it can't be done.

I played the game, as a hitter you can't take off a decade and expect your timing to come back that fast.
Plus he's never played at this level, the curves are devastating, the fastballs even at the rookie level leagues are 94 mph.
Just to much rust has to be removed.

I hope I'm wrong, but no way.

Even the Independent League, where I live the Bridgeport Bluefish play in the Indie Atlantic League, pro scouts say the level of competition is between AA and AAA ball is where he should start out and I really don't see him doing much here.

No - but he will make some money trying - tons of indy teams will give him a shot because he will put butts in seats. Was same reason White Sox let Jordan do it. If I remember right MJ bought a new team bus for his single a team. Obviously Tebow didn't make enough to do all that but he will get people to show up to games to either cheer or jeer him - but owners don't care about all that - just that people are paying to do it!!

If Marlins Sign him to a minor league deal and put Tebow on the back of Markin jerseys for sale, they would make $ 30 million in a year or enough for a nice free agent starting pitcher contract for 2 years

Not a chance in hell he makes an MLB squad. I doubt he can even play AA. He'd be better off going to the CFL.

Tebow hit like 0.500 in HS for Nease that went to Florida Final Four. Granted it was ~ 13 years ago but that's insane even for HS. If there's any guy to root for, it has to be this guy. He's done everything he's been asked to do and has been an upstanding citizen. I wish him the best.

    meh

    HS stats mean nothing
Andrew McCutchen hit .591 in florida baseball as an 8th grader

McCutchen was eligible to play varsity baseball as an eighth grader at Fort Meade High School. He batted .591 that year. with his average for his senior season .709 with 16 home runs and 42 RBIs.[2] He also played football and ran track. McCutchen was one of the top football recruits in the state of Florida but opted for a career in baseball. He was also a part of a state title-winning 4 × 100 m relay his freshman year of high school.

    Anti-Christian bigot spotted.

Yeah, the guy's an "attention whore" because he wants to play sports and got blacklisted from the NFL because of his Christianity by hateful psychotics like you, so he had to literally switch sports in order to try to get a fair shot. Will he be good? Who knows? Let the guy live his fukking life, you bigoted prick. He's an "attention whore" for wanting to play professional sports? Just shut the fukk up before you reveal any more of your irrational frothing hatred for the man. Dude is a class act and never has a bad word to say about anyone. People like you make me sick.

Paul O'Neil just said he saw the video of him working out today and said his bat speed was very impressive.
But let's see some live batting though.
