No Cubs, NO!!!! 13-17 over last 30 games

27-26 over their past 53 (after their high water mark of 25-6 to start the year)

Cubs are a very good team, but glad we can put the greatest of all-time and winning 117 games to rest.

Just remember no team is as good as they seem on a hot streak and no team is as bad as they seem on a cold streak

Really didn't see that happening ... Glad I don't spend real doe, (just betpoints when bored) glad I don't live in chi to buy tickets to see that, hometown fans must feel like crap after watching a sub par team, beat on them like that. Out of those 52 wins a dozen have came from this very team lol... Then lose 2 in a row to them?

Somebody's eating on that +840 rl though, I'm on cards, and Seattle now ... Let's see how this ends

Could be tough for Mets. If they don't win their division 1 game wild card where anything can happen. Might even have to go against Kershaw to survive.

Cubs pitching is plummeting back to earth.

Lets wait until the end of August. Cubs could be fighting for a playoff spot then. They need to trade for a starting pitcher.

Might as well go for Chapman but sounds like Yankees want Schwarber or won't deal

Send Vogelbach as he is only a DH, Soler, and some A/AA fella

    i'd do that deal

Schwarber may never be the same with his knee, and he can't play the field. He was born to be a DH

Lmao dude. That same guy was also all about the -2.5 RL too. Hopefully for his sake he wised up, otherwise he's buried. That thread was comical, same guy was talking about how the Cubs this year were a lock to win 120 games and would be the greatest team in history record wise and run differential. Then reality happened.

It seems like the Mets are a match up problem for them, the rest of the league they should handle.

ironically -arietta, despite that 2.33 era has a 12-4-1 over/under record in his games.. how many people would have guessed that ratio?

Look it up yourself. Its actually probably more than most. Not that its the end all. Lots of teams have won with starters without pas experience. Lester and Lackey have plenty though. Rotation is fine. Need bullpen arms.

You'd trade Schwarber for a 1 year rental? Maybe Schwarber for Chapman and Miller, Schwarber could be one of the better hitters in the league.

yeah 3 months and playoffs of a closer is not worth 5 years of control for a possible premiere slugger that still has cheap pre arbitration salaries coming...

    that is a big asset

Heyward playing really bad for them. But honestly 13-17 doesn't mean a whole lot. They've had to play a lot of games in a row. 5-12 over there last 17. Swept by Mets and Cards. Everyone goes through losing streaks. Doesn't mean they're not world series contenders. They'll be fine after all star break.

Last time the Bucs and Cubs played the series ended with the Cubs with a 15.5 game lead over the bucs

after today it will be down to 7.5 games

    1969 like collapse coming?

The vegas bookmakers have them only 4/1 to win world series which is silly odds really, considering it a bat and ball game and a lot of luck is involved.
