Getting an ultrasound on his sack. Doesn't sound pleasant

Yan Gomes was sent to a local hospital in Seattle late Tuesday night for an ultrasound of his groin.

Gomes got struck in a bad place by a foul tip in the second inning of Tuesday's loss to the Mariners. The initial diagnosis was a testicular contusion, but the Indians want to be sure he suffered no major damage. "I don’t think he's probably having the best night of his life," manager Terry Francona told reporters after Tuesday's game. Chris Gimenez will probably start behind the plate Wednesday.
