    This is what Velasquez line most likely would have been. Pitching been fine through 5. Phils had corners 0 out in the first and didn't sniff a run. That's more concerning than Velasquez throwing 2 pitches. No biggie..

    I mean honestly it prob wouldn't have been much different if VV pitched.. And by that i mean cubs prob still woulda covered -1.5 cuz lackey pitched very well

    Does Velasquez contract contain language that he gets a bonus for x numbet of starts? He left the game after 2 pitches due to bicep being sore. Wouldn't he have known that during warm up.

    All sub-3. As of now, they would have the best starting pitching ERA in the live-ball era (since 1920). Quite a bit ahead actually. I think the starting ERA collectively is under 2.3 right now. That's insane. Half the teams don't have any starter with an ERA that good. No way they can keep it up, but still more than 1/3 thru pretty impressive.
